How This Journey Came About

This (not so) little project is something I have decided to undertake for a couple simple and crazy reasons.  I spend a lot of time watching various movies and T.V. shows.  Although I get something from it in the form of entertainment, and more often than not, quality time with my fiance Brittaney, it really is in some ways under utilized time.  I started thinking of what I can do to make better use of it.  Somehow my crazy mind landed on creating a blog.  As if anyone will actually read this.  Maybe people will.  I doubt it.  I secretly have always wanted to be a writer, but with not much of a creative side, this seems like a solid way for me to play writer, even if it is only for my enjoyment.  I won't lie... My first thought was not to write about Disney movies.  Originally I was thinking I would journey through the horror genre.  Brittaney hates horror movies and I tend to like them, so I figured if I had a blog that required updating it would give me a good excuse to watch some.  Needless to say I never got motivated and it never happened.  Then one day I started thinking about Disney movies and how has a young adult I still get a lot of enjoyment from watching them.  They are simply entertaining.  This brings me to the second reason why I chose to undertake this project.  I watched a lot of Disney movies as a kid, but the reality is I just don't remember a lot of them.  There are a ton that I never saw in the first place.  This gives me a reason to watch the ones I haven't seen and a chance to re-watch the ones I have.  Furthermore, this is something that Brittaney may want to partake in from time to time, so it kind of seems like a win-win.  Lastly, there seems to be a lot of things in the films that strike adults differently than kids, so I will try to point those sneaky little bits out as I go.  This is where I tell you that I am by no means a great writer, I tend to babble, and there is zero promises that anything insightful will ever be shared here.  I also tend to find myself amusing, so I apologize in advance if you do not.  Updates won't come at any predetermined schedule, it will basically just happen randomly as I watch yet another film.  When I first had this brilliant idea, I had no idea that there were hundreds and hundreds of films by Disney.  This could get interesting and at times excruciating bad with the amount of sequels that are out there.  If anyone happens to be reading this still after I have babbled so endlessly, I hope you enjoy this as much as I am sure to.  I am always open to criticisms or suggestions, just keep it respectful.  If you feel the need to tell me to stop because its so painstakingly bad, there is a simple solution... Close out of the window and move on..
